The percent of middle-class families fell 10% with 4% rising to upper income and 6% falling to a lower income group according to Pew Research. Millennials could likely be the first generation in all of American history to be worse off financially than their parents, but there are a mix of causes caused by the very factors that has enabled the enormous prosperity to flourish since World War II.
